So far in the playoffs, Connecticut has avoided elimination at the hands of the Dallas Wings and the Chicago Sky. The Sun are the first team to win four games when facing elimination in a single postseason since the Phoenix Mercury in 2018.
DeWanna Bonner’s performance in Game 3 was crucial for the Sun; she had been virtually ineffective in the first two games of the series. Las Vegas should call it quits now that the Aces have shown how dangerous and resilient Connecticut can be.

Sun is the best bet (pick). The Sun’s rout victory in Game 3 was emphatic. They didn’t just eke out a win to avoid being swept; instead, they put on a dominant performance to make a statement. If the old adage that a series doesn’t begin until a team wins on the road is correct, then this series has yet to begin.
And I don’t think it starts on Sunday, because the Sun will have their home court and crowd again. The Sun were away from home for a full week in a row because they won Game 5 in the previous round in Chicago and then went straight to Las Vegas for Games 1 and 2 of this series.
