March Actions!
Occupy education has called for two national days of action to defend public education in early March:
- March 1st will be a day of campus actions across California’s education system, from K-12s to UCs, and on many other campuses across the US. See Occupy Education’s site for more details. See the tumblr for inspiration.
- At UCSC, students have decided to do a Student Strike and Tent University.
- See the Occupy Education site for details on actions in the East Bay and at UC-Berkeley.

Occupy UC Merced is planning activities for this upcoming March 1- March 5th week of action for education. On March 1st we are hosting all day artistic activities to get the campus community to EXPRESS themselves, and also holding a TEACH-IN on TEACH THE BUDGET. There are many of us who will be joining you in Sacramento to Occupy the Capital on March 5th!
Thank you for posting this site, it has truly inspired many of us to connect together for the larger cause of defending public education in california. We have held several informal teach-ins based off of teach the budget & regularly distribute copies on our information table at our campus occupy.
